No I haven't dropped off the face of the earth.

I just haven't figured out yet how to do much besides being a mom. I do want to let all my friends know that I still care. I will be in the Twin Cities (with baby) on July 1st. Will anyone be around for visits?

I guess I'll miss you this time. Happy birthday to your grandpa (and to you too next week.)

I'll be here and I'd love to see you!

I was just thinking yesterday about how much I miss you.

Thank you. I miss you too. Did I ever tell you how much I enjoyed the books you gave me? I read a lot when I was at Camphill.

I'll be in touch about plans for Sunday.

Yes, parenting is a handful. Glad to here all is well. Typing is somewhere after sweeping the back steps, but before defrosting freezer.
I work 11 hours on Sunday. Next time then...

That's a long day of work, though I guess it is nothing compared to some of your days at G.H. Yes, parenting keeps me busy, but I am wanting to do a better job of keeping in touch with friends. We have a new laptop, so I have fewer excuses. I guess I did sweep our back porch before posting to lj. I still have trouble keeping up with everyday tasks like doing dishes and washing diapers. I have to keep the floors clean now because she is crawling all over and will pick up the tiniest little crumbs and particles and put them in her mouth. So why will my baby eat things like cat hair and soapy bath water, but not squash or avocado? (She is not real big on the solid foods yet.) Oh well. Nursing is easier than cooking for her anyway.

Nursing is so much better, too. And have you heard that babies who muck around in the dirt and crawl over animals don't have as many allergies later in life?

Sunday is my long work day. But they give me a half hour lunch and force a 10 minute break on me every two hours. Stupid union! :)

I'm glad you get some breaks. I have heard the hypothesis that babies get fewer allergies if we can stop being so obsessively clean. I guess that is good for our little one in this hundred-year-old house with the big, old cat. Adah adores Cinder Cat. She is even starting to practice saying kitty. It comes out as a whispered "kih kih" right now. She also says "da da" and "hi Adah", but only makes the ma ma sound when she is hungry.

It would be so wonderful to see you! Can we meet somewhere? Maybe get some ice-cream? I'll be staying at my sister's house in the Powderhorn Park area.

And thanks for the complement. I haven't met Griffin yet either. I'm sure he's a real cutie.
