A Meme and an Unladylike Beginning
Because I can't resist, after seeing this meme all over the internet today...
The Meme:

So here's mine, from page 7 of the (unrevised, first-draft) WIP currently known as Antonia O'Toole Takes the Low Road to Hollywood:
I swallowed hard. My heart was banging like a drum set. Darn it! I’d listened to too many of Daddy’s ghost stories. At night sometimes, after the last performances were done, he liked to spin tales about his gran who saw spirits and witches and ghouls back in Ireland. The little ones lapped them all up just like ice cream, but I’d never believed them for a moment.
There were no such things as ghosts or magic...
Poor Antonia. She has a lot to learn!
