In the wake of yesterday's events with Anna Nicole Smith, I am amazed at the attention that this is getting. Don't get me wrong, I feel bad for her. She had a shitty childhood that molded her into the person she became, however, the media is forgetting that she did this to herself

There are certainly better things to cover in the news, like humanitarian crisis overseas

But personally, I like to read about star's lives because it makes me feel better about my own life :

I'm glad I'm not rich
I'm glad I'm not in the public eye
I'm glad I can meander through life experiencing what is has to offer unhassled
