Have you not listened to anything I've said about South Dakota? There's really only a couple of reasons to go there and I'm not sure that whatever you're doing is one of them. Ok, ok, tell me what your doing.

Terry "Peak", just down the road from Deer "Mountain." We were doing surveys about sun protection and I did have a lot of fun, actually. :) I have some pictures I'm going to post. I tried to send you a text message while I was there, but my phone revolted.
I LOVED the Black Hills. They're gorgeous and peaceful. I actually think I want to go there in the summer at some point--though I think they'll be substantially more filled with tourists at that time. I guess it gets pretty crowded. In terms of preparing-- yeah, it's a little podunk in some ways. I had a hard time finding vegitarian cuisine, but the people are amazingly kind. I did hear several racial slurs which I did not appreciate from the mouth of the woman who owned the bed and breakfast we stayed in-- and she didn't even realize she said it, but my overall impression is that the people are incredibly kind and gracious. I had a great time-- even though it was freaking uncomfortably cold. :) I think you'll have fun this summer. Bring your mountain bike!
