Hee, yay! I love finding out that other people were Animorphs-obsessed. Man, it was such a good kids' series.
I was definitely a Jake fangirl in the beginning and then later on became a Tobias fangirl. All that dreamy angst. Marco, as I said in the post above (I've been editing it, adding things) was probably my least favorite of the group (not to say I didn't like him - he grew on me, and was almost certainly the character whose lines made me laugh out loud the most); in retrospect, he's totally worthy of fangirling. Congrats on finding your real-life Marco. ;)
Did you have Teen Power books in the US? They were published around the same time, and consisted of a similar Assorted Crew of teens who mostly did odd jobs around their town (and solved mysteries). There was the ditz, the bookish girl, the angry, streetsmart loner, the "fearless leader" dude...
Ahaha, I would if I could! I want crossover fic too -- I even requested it on the avengers kink meme. But probably no one will bite. Alas.
I haven't heard of Teen Power. Sounds like I probably would have enjoyed it though. It's funny how these archetypes keep showing up. There is something really appealing about the team/five-man-band tropes in fiction, where you get more than just one or two perspectives -- you get an array, and you can weigh and contrast them and pick favorites and just enjoy the way they all fit together so nicely. It's like a neat little simplification of the "kinds of people" out there in the world.

You were an Animorphs fan, too?

I was a Marco fangirl and I'm essentially marrying a guy just like him (personality wise)

I only had the vaguest idea of what a crossover might be. The Clint/Tobias parallels never really struck me before but it so works.
