A small day

A small day, but a better one than yesterday. I spent most of it lying about but in the cracks managed to achieve one or two things:

A couple of hours at work mostly spent unpicking one powerpoint slide. If you're really unlucky I may tell you more about it one day. There are now four powerpoint slides and a lot less animation. Only another 50 super packed slides to go. Then I add the new material, then edit the hell out of the thing to return it to some semblance of usefulness. Pass me the chainsaw.

Returned a lost soccerball to its rightful home after a 2 month sojourn at Sector 7 following my 40th.

Did a load of washing.

Crutched Pumpkin.

Started reading R.A. MacAvoy's King of the Dead. It's written from the POV of one character accounting events to another target character, which is all very well until the target character joins the action, but is still being addressed in real time. It will take some getting used to, and that's not my only concern.

Installed the new Christmas microwave from the folks. Was pretty sure they wouldn't mind me going in a couple of days early, but the old one 'sploded my porridge this morning and 'sploded porridge is one of my least favourite substances to clean. Microwaves are heavy and awkward things. Pumpkin helped.
