For Ziggy, slash and puncture resistant armour, lightning speed and reflexes and noise cancelling headphones. Plus a supply of betadine & sutures when she gets through the armour.

That's heroic. Makes my efforts seem pathetic. Felix has learnt to pretend to swallow, then spit the pill out, but otherwise he mostly hides under the bed, then (when I drag him out) whines and looks pathetic and fearful, so I feel like a vile torturer of kittens. Oh, and he will froth at the mouth in an injured kind of way, sometimes. Then skulk miserably.

Medicating the baby requires the bluff of a poker player, followed by the swiftness of a sword fencing stab, then a bit of jujitsu.

That might work on a cat too.

One person to hold cat in a headlock and restrain all limbs (remember, five out of six ends are pointy). Another to prise cat's jaws open, insert pill, then hold mouth closed and stroke cat's throat until the cat swallows.
