Dear Steph

Holding on to hope for you, and failing that love.

I realized the other day that, although it is so hard on us to see our puppies and our kittens grow old and frail, how much better is it for them to have us as they remember us being when they were young - their competent and caring human parents.

Fearing for those we love - the worst of emotions.
