I didn't get to the Fringe World Awards because I was volunteering at another venue at the time, which is also the reason I saw almost none of the shows that won said awards (I did see the first few minutes of Yummy Deluxe at the end of a shift, but bailed because of the stage smoke). A Hypnotist Show? Hmm, if the films were anything to go by anything could happen. I suspect the truth is more like well rehearsed stooges.

Possibly, but it still made for a better comedy show than some of the stand-up I've seen.

I only saw that show once, so I don't know whether the subjects were plants (I suspect the paid ushers who continually worked the same venues could answer that), though I did speak to people who'd seen one of the 'magic shows' I'd also seen and confirmed their suspicion that the 'clairvoyance' act had been set-up well in advance.

The two 'magicians' that impressed me the most gave partial explanations of some of their tricks, and let us try to figure out how they'd done the others.
