[Part of Nagi had already made the decision. Speaking with Olivier only sealed the deal. He knows he has nothing to fight for anymore, not since he woke up in this place. He has no hope; no reason to live; no reason to fight ( Read more... )

Your will may be commendable, but what makes you believe that you will stand a chance of success?

Nothing whatsoever. It may very well be that we fail miserably, and all our efforts will be for naught.

However, as long as we have even the smallest chance of success, I intend to fight. Simply giving up is not an option.

Of course; "there may only be defeat if one gives in before the fight even begins". Have you, however, also heard of the saying, "thoughtless good intentions only result in tragedy"? I confess to prefer following than leading, but a leader would be expected to have a goal in mind and a way to reach it before they begin recruiting, or at least, a tentative one that could reach the desired ends. You do not need to tell me what it is, but do you have something like that, Nagi-san?

The goal? Yes. The way to reach it? Not quite. Reality-warping is a bit beyond what I'm used to, but I don't intend to stop searching for that way.

Hmm~

Has been too long since Russia is hearing one of these idiotic speeches.

Russia? Hmm. Well, my apologies, but nobody is forcing you to listen.

Child is having plans? Or just more empty words?

Ah, people keep seeming to say that. Have there really been that many failed resistance movements?

Да. Once, twice a month, someone is having new plans for escape. Always fail.

Would you prefer they didn't try at all?

I wish more people were willing to work together like that. I'm always available to help.

Thanks for the interest. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's tried to organize something like this, but if it helps get more people involved, then it seems worth the time to me.

A lot of people do, but... it's hard to keep them going. They give up, or they get droned...

The fact that they tried at all is better than nothing, don't you think?

That much is obvious.

But what specifically do you plan to do? You're not the only one with experience.

Major General Armstrong is taking the lead right now. For now, I and anyone who wishes to join me will hang back and see what becomes of her efforts. I'm considering holding a meeting in the meantime... might be a good idea to get to know one another. [He's not going to make the same mistake twice. He won't give anyone the opportunity to become another Rokuro.]

Hmm.

Typical. A woman is already running the show, but of course we couldn't get by without listening to a big strong man who is too new to know what he's doing.

I'm... sorry? That isn't really what I was trying to say. "Big and strong"?
