I just spent about $250 on registration for my LSAT and LSDAS. (Law School Data Assembly Service, mandatory to apply to Emory and GSU)

It's starting to sink in: I'm really doing this. Holy crap, what am I thinking???

That is awesome. You can totally do it. If my dumb ass cousins can pass law school anyone can. Be confident, you will make a great lawyer...or whatever else you want to be.

lol thanks, I'm actually finding a fair amount of solace that "dumb ass cousins" can do law school. Now all I have to do is get into Emory. That is going to take an immense amount of luck, but I think/hope I can pull it off! :)

What type of law do you want to practice?

I had, and still occasionally do, consider labor law, which is a bit of a family business but I am just not sure I have the attention span for law school after I finish these classes I need to finish up my degree.

I'm trying to keep an open mind about specifics, mostly because I have no clue and there's no such thing as electives your first year.

But my mind has been hovering around criminal defense, family/juvenile law, contract law, or non-profit law.
