Impractical yes, amusing to look at? - probably ;) Seriously though, I know how you feel. My solution?...Ibruporfen for the pain, caffine for the lack of sleep & Cake/Cookies to cheer you up. Or there is the vHug, which never do any harm :) *Hugs*
On the phones front, I am useless...I have the one I have because it looked cute and shiney. :)

That is my mature and considered response :)
I took some ibuprofen earlier, and I'm not due to take some more for a little bit yet. Caffeine ... yes, good idea that. However, I have no cake or cookies. How can this be?
It so happens that in 15 minutes or so I shall go on my post-lunch walk, which will end at a coffee shop. I'm hoping that there will be chocolate brownies there ...
I wouldn't have another Ericson for all the tea in China. There seems to be an inherent fault (on the 5 Ericson handsets I've had) which cuts the incoming speaker if there's a lot of background noise. The person I'm speaking to can hear me just fine, BG noise or not, but I get a dead ear. Felt like throwing the phone at walls, out of car windows (bluetooth earpiece makes no odds - same fault) off bridges and into rubbish bins.
I don't really have opinions or any useful comment to make, but I'll comment anyway :-D
I have just acquired P's old PDA/phone since he upgraded. It's got the slide-out keyboard, stylus hole (ie stylus itself is lost, but not too much of a problem since a double-pointed knitting needle does the trick, and I've always got one of those on my person these days!) I miss the ease of use of my dinky little Motorola, and I think perhaps I will never quite grow accustomed to the surfeit of technology provided by this "device" (another thing: I'm still coming to grips with the realisation that it's not actually a phone, but something more than that happens to have a phone feature) ...
I would say take heed of the negative keypad reviews and go for the other option. I LOVE giving advice on stuff I know nothing about! It's the only kind of advice worth giving, I reckon.
Indeed. But I do only use a fraction of the features on offer. The phone book. The web browser. Instant messaging. The calender with appointments feature. The ability to make calls and send texts. Some of the games.
All of these are apparently available (in some form or another) on either of the phones I want, and I really could do with something less bulky.
By the way, you are not the only person to use a knitting needle as a replacement stylus. I've seen Jane do it too. Did you know a fair few of my larping friends have taken up knitting and/or crochet? I'm tempted to try it myself just to see what it's all about.
