Mmh, I don't think you would like the Prestige, Stephanie...kind of dark and violent with gaping plot holes...if you can manage to find it playing nearby, go see Aldomovar's Volver, you'll definitely appreciate it. Best movie I saw this year. Children of Men would probably be my next choice, which was excellent, but I don't know if that style of movie suits you as much.
