A while back I started a list of 'suggested reading', primarily for D because we are frequently wanting to share things with each other - but I want to put it out there for anyone - these things may not speak to you like they spoke to me but they are all integral parts of getting me to where I am today

Nice. I get this. I'll see if I can find the time to read the rest of your posts. I totally understood this concept from the first time I saw this amazing film; which I now count among my favorites of all time. (and it's not just because I'm a sci-fi film buff, either)
I also draw many parallels to spiritual awakenings as well. This article seems to focus on governmental conspiracy, which is one manifestation on the concept of the matrix. But our belief systems, some of course that we learned from western culture, commonly called "Mother Culture" that keep us on this plane of perception, can be shed through specific study of altered states and ecstatic experiences.
Or maybe I'm just full of Woo. ;)
