Coming home from the theatre last night, I avoided what could have been something really scary. I always ride the bus with people that I work with, and most of the time, 2 of my co-workers transfer to the el with me and we all get off on the same stop. Grateful, happy lives
I was working at Chi Shakes tonight, and a man entered the theatre wearing a black coat with an Iowa Hawkeye logo on the left breast pocket. I told him I liked his jacket, and his face lit up. He said, "Are you an Iowa person?" and I said, "Born and raised a Hawkeye. I owe my life to that team! haha" and he said, "I'm a fan of anything Iowa, too." ( Read more... ) -

morning tea (I know, it's supposed to be coffee)
Yes, the final death of my $9.99 Target coffee maker my dad bought me upon my first arrival to Miami occurred about 2 weeks ago. I had been using my roommates 4 cup maker (yucky coffee) intermingled with the teeny tiny espresso stove steamer...but I really miss my 12-cup drip brew. Chi Shakes auditions
God. I'm sitting outside in the waiting room if an equity call where no one can sing. I've heard 4 women (equity members of course) go in there and not sing. I'm sure they acted their way thru songs, but they COULD NOT SING!! This kills me. I'm a highly trained hardworking, pedal-pushing performer, and here I am waiting for less talented people ( Read more... ) -
A nightmare
He had a dream last night that someone was trying to kill me and he could see it through the window but couldn't do anything about it. He was talking in the most stressed out voice ive experienced from him. His words were shaky and unsure. He just wanted to know I was there. Here. If I could stay and not leave.
I don't know what that means.
