forever.
f(x); 900 words. [Sulli/Krystal]
She knows that things wouldn't stay teh same forever.
The thing Soojung wants the most is right over there. However, she never reaches out her hand and always holds herself back.
"Hm... Soojung ah..."
Soojung stopped in her tracks and quirked an eyebrow.
"Sooojung-ah..."
She walked over to the van where the vice came from and peeked at the rolled down window of the backseat. Sleeping? She peeked closer and stared at the peaceful face.
"Soojung, that tickles..."
Soojung felt an eyebrow twitch. "What the hell is she dreaming about?"
A single eye opened from the previously sleeping girl. "Just kidding." She said with a sly smile. "Did I fool Soojung?"
"W-What the-” A strong blush took over the half-American girl’s face.
“Soojung is so predictable.”
“Predictable-! What the hell are you talking about, Choi Jinri?” Jinri didn’t give a proper answer and just smiled giddily.
Soojung picked up the pillow by the older girl’s feet and threw it on her target’s face. “I-Idiot.”
Jinri let out another giggle, having easily blocked the pillow.
“W-What are you doing pretending to be asleep there anyway?” Soojung asked as she leaned her back on the car.
“I was waiting for Soojungie to pass by.” Jinri answered cheerfully.
Another blush. “I-Idiot. And pretending to be dreaming about me too...” She added the last part in a whisper but Jinri still caught it, having moved to sit by the window to be close to Soojung.
“Oh but that’s quite alright.” She whispered in Soojung’s ear, making her jump.
Soojung lifted an eyebrow. “And why is that?”
Jinri smiled again and Soojung wondered if the older girl ever got tired of smiling all the time.
“It’s quite normal to dream of the person you like.” She answered, resting her chin on her folded arms beside Soojung’s head. “I dream of Soojung almost every night-Ow!”
Soojung rubbed the palm she used in smacking Jinri at the back of the head. “Stop saying weird things!”
“Ouch...” Jinri mumbled as she carefully rubbed the spot Soojung hit.
Soojung glanced momentarily at the older girl and felt guilty. She suppressed a sigh and turned her head to the side with a soft expression. “Jinri-yah...”
Jinri lifted up her head. “Wha-”
“Does it really hurt?”
Jinri stared at Soojung for a full second before leaning in and closing the gap between their lips.
Ah... She kissed me. Soojung closed her eyes.
Jinri pulled away after a second and they both stared at each other with half opened eyes.
“J-Jinri-”
“I’m sorry.”
Jinri leaned her forehead down on Soojung’s shoulder and Soojung lowered her gaze to Jinri’s brown hair. It wasn’t the first time they kissed like that. And Soojung sure as hell knows (hopes) that it’s not going to be the last. “Why are you apologizing after doing it on your own accord? It’s troublesome, Choi Jinri.” She whispered.
“Soojung doesn’t like it, right?” Jinri whispered back. “Soojung hates it when I do those kinds of stuffs with you, right? I’m so sorry. When you looked at me like before I just lost my control. Forgive me.”
Soojung felt Jinri tremble and she frowned to herself.
The thing Soojung wants the most is right over there. However, she never reaches out her hand and always holds herself back.
Soojung knows.
She knows that things wouldn’t stay the same forever. She knows that Jinri won’t wait forever while she holds back.
That’s right. We can’t stay like this forever. “Rather, I’m more worried.” She whispered, making Jinri lift her head to look at her.
“Jjung?”
“You say you kissed me because of the way I looked at you.” She gritted her teeth. “If another looks at you the way I did before, then, would you just kiss them impulsively as well?” She finished with a deep blush.
“J-Jjung-”
“Sorry.” Soojung closed her eyes tightly before pressing her lips against Jinri’s. She pulled away with a red face, mirroring the other girl’s own. “I’m being ridiculous, right?”
Jinri stared with wide eyes and fingers pressed against her lips. “Soojung...”
“I-it’s your fault!” Soojung reasoned. “Because you kept on staying by my side... Because you’re always next to me, the things I hate... I started to like.”
“Then, Soojungie-”
“I don’t hate you.” Soojung interrupterd, turning away and looking at her shoes. “I don’t hate kissing you either...”
“Then does Soojung like me?” Jinri asked and got a single nod. “You know, Soojung,” Jinri’s expression turned sad. “You could just be feeling sympathy. Because I always hang around you, this could not be like at all. It’s possible that you’re just feeling sorry -Ow!”
“I know that!” Soojung shouted. “I know the difference between the two. I like Jinri... Definitely.”
“Why now?”
Soojung looked at Jinri for a second before looking away bashfully. “I realized that... things wouldn’t be the same forever. Opportunities won’t knock forever and Jinri won’t wait forever and... I can’t hide what I’m feeling forever.” She admitted shyly and found herself engulfed in a hug a second after.
Jinri tightened her arms around Soojung’s neck and spoke against her cheek. “I like you, Jung Soojung. I like you so much.”
Soojung looked surprise for a few seconds before letting out a happy sigh and smiling as she brought one hand to Jinri’s head and patted gently. “I knew I shouldn’t have told you the reason, you’ll only fawn all over me.”
