Taeyeon has always been the patient one. Some could say that it comes naturally with being the leader of a 9 member group with girls screaming and laughing and running everywhere like elementary kids but she has been a patient person even before their group was formed.
In the morning, she wakes up earlier than the others (excluding Hyoyeon who sometimes wakes up earlier than her for God know why) and starts preparing breakfast for a dozen of people despite there being only 9 mouths to feed. She waits without complaining for everyone to finish showering before she does so and when they come home late, late into the night, Taeyeon waits patiently for everyone to wash first before she drags her tired self into the bathroom.
So knowing how patient she could be, Taeyeon wonders why she's acting like an impatient kid waiting for her ice cream when it comes to a certain Half-American eye-smiling girl.

Tiffany barged and into her life several years ago armed with her barely intelligible so called 'Korean' speaking ability, her loud voice and her eye-smile. Looking back into it now, Taeyeon is quite surprised that she befriended someone like Tiffany who wears pink 24/7, talks like she's trying to be heard from Seoul to Jeonju, laughs all the time (which freaked Taeyeon out for a long time at first) and someone who's always impatient with everything. Basically, she's the complete opposite of Taeyeon and bearing every single trait Taeyeon hates.
Which is why, Taeyeon can't quite comprehend why she fell for Tiffany so quickly and deeply.

Taeyeon never really did try to hide her growing love for the bubbly klutz. Being Tiffany's bestfriend made things easier to be by her side always, something Taeyeon takes full advantage of. Not wanting anything to look forced between them, Taeyeon acted normally around the younger girl albeit a bit more sweeter and clingy than usual which she can see that Tiffany fully enjoys too. So Taeyeon just acts accordingly with her feelings. She clings to the other girl like glue, she treats her differently than how she treats the other kids and she throws in some cheesy lines here and there coupled with a few touches here and there. Taeyeon thinks she's being too obvious most of the time.
So why doesn't Tiffany notice still?

With their personalities being complete opposite of each other's, Taeyeon also wonders why she fell for Tiffany Hwang. Maybe it's the sweet voice and pretty face that made her heart beat crazily the second she heard and sawboth respectively. Maybe it's the eye-smile that captured her heart and made her decide that it's gonna be her new favorite sight and that she'll protect it forever. Maybe it's the very, very pleasing and fun personality that made everyday exciting for the two of them.
It confused her a lot because what Taeyeon has always looked for in a person is the trait of being dependable and reliable. Both of which are not really a strong point of Tiffany. Instead, she relies on Taeyeon and depends on Taeyeon a lot. So why is she attracted to an unreliable, undependable and very dependent girl?
No answer can be found but there is one thing that Taeyeon is sure of and that is that she's still madly in love with Tiffany despite all those traits.

There are times when Taeyeon initiates heavy skinship and all Tiffany does after is hit her on the head with a laugh and call her a pervert. During those times, Taeyeon fights the urge to hit Tiffany on the head with whatever hard object her hand could reach and grab her by her face and just kiss her senseless to get everything over with. It's incredible how slow and clueless Tiffany can be and it's a bit exhausting to flirt with someone who doesn't know what you're doing half of the time. But still, Taeyeon doesn't have that much courage to practically harass the other girl so she just lets out a sigh every time and smiles.
And Taeyeon thinks that no matter how exhausting loving Tiffany is, she'll never get tired of doing so.

She's unreliable, clumsy, Korean-illiterate and there are times when she's unbearable but Taeyeon loves Tiffany Hwang nonetheless.
