So, what exactly are "car wash pants"? Of course my imagination calls up something softcore and tight for bending over and... scrubbing.

No, this wasn't really a softcore charity event. They're pants with two layers, a stretchy solid layer underneath and a gauzy, billowy layer on top, so it sort of looks like a floor-length skirt but it's not. I have no idea why they're called car wash pants but they are.
