Actually, your vote may count. What nobody is reporting is that some states have entered into an agreement where their electoral votes will be decided by the national popular vote instead of the state totals. Illinois is one of those states, along with Hawaii, New Jersey, and Maryland. Nationally it may be a close call.

Also, please do vote. Its a nice freedom to have. Too few people do it in this country.

I don't know what to think about McCain's VP pick. I was a Hillary supporter and now will vote for Obama. I voted for her in the primary even though my vote didn't count. Personally, I hate the two party system. There is never one perfect candidate.

As for Palin, I like her because she is real. But I don't know if she is ready for the White House. She seems a little too Legally Blonde for me... She has a very typical American family and I won't judge her. However, I question if being the VP is the right place for her. Granted I have been reading all the gossip on Perez, but I still think her situation is a little questionable. I don't think I could have 5 kids, one grandkid, and help run a country. Maybe she's just amazing - and then she totally deserves my vote!

You mean Perez doesn't count as a legitimate news source? It's so much more entertaining than CNN, and it typically has a lot of the same "news" . . . just written in a snarky tone :-)
