For some reason Thanksgiving has caused me to have more homesickness than any other holiday so far. We had dinner at a nightclub in Morcombe, the next town over which was nice but the International office went a bit overboard with American Flags every where. because, to people like us, theatre is more than what we do... it's what we are. and such a large part of what and who are that to not be doing it, or to not have it fullfilling us is like losing a part of your own heart. i remember when i first came to college and i didn't work on any shows for my first two quarters. by the time spring quarter rolled around i was craving it and that was when i got involved in chautauqua. since then, i'm not sure i've gone for more than a few months without working on a show. when i'm not doing theatre i have no idea what to do with myself. maybe there's something about the physical time commitment and the blossoming of the final product in performance. what would i be doing without rehearsals every night? probably watching a lot of bad television ( ... )

I must admit that today has been a lot better because the LD has realized that I know what I am doing so he is asking me for my opinions. I'm enjoying it more because he and the others are getting more friendly also.

Theatre people are fun even if they only do theatre for a short while.
