Iz all cool. Everyone is busy lately--with their own subjective set of priorities.
To get upset about birthdays is dorky, when not everyone sees or talks to each other on a consistent basis. And anyways, friendship is tested by time not (necessarily) by what each person can get out of the other person, but by the simplicity in enjoying a person's company. If there's still that enjoyment, people will seek each other out. Otherwise, it's poop!
--And I'm not publicly acknowledging birthdays after 25. My own, not others.
But I might be spotty on others, too. (Girls don't expect guys (except significant others) to remember their birthdays, but they expect other girls to. Isn't that a double standard?)
Apparently I started collecting it early on (this is what my husband says) and I don't have any of them now.... possible due to me lending my comic books out to everyone in the world (that's what my husband says as well).
*cry* I had the subscription too... but i unfortunately got the issues in the middle of the series and had no flippin clue what was going on.
My fiance has the originals [not the re-prints] of the first 10 issues or so, but I didn't really get into it until I got the first trade this year, which led to me getting all the ones available as gifts for assorted birthdays and holidays.
