Would it be bad form to call my mom and gloat that I didn't have to be in Iowa to counteract her vote? I think I'm more excited that Obama took Iowa than that he's the new president-elect. And don't let the lack of exclamation points in my post belie how excited I actually am. I'm just also extremely tired. And I am now going to bed.

I am so sad that I missed the call because I was at a girl scout meeting!

Usually, the call takes a lot longer too. That was quick!

Yeah! I totally thought I'd have plenty of time to do my meeting and come home for the big call!

I know, right? That seems to be what we're hearing from people who don't live here. I'm wondering how often a U.S. election has made the world smile. Not often, I'm thinking.

It's nice after last time where I had to swear I voted for the other guy. Not that I was proud about giving him a vote either.

Actually, this is the first time I was really proud to vote for who I voted for.
