Now that I'm unemployed, I find myself sitting around all day pumping my farms, zoo, fish tanks and mafia gang for money. What am I talking about? On FaceBook, I've now joined FarmVille, Farmtown, this cool online zoo thing at Birthday Cards, Happy Aquarium, FishWorld, and Mafia Wars. I'm most obsessed with the zoo and FarmVille. The thing is, you ( Read more... )

I'm only on page 47 so far but I recommend it.

How many pages is it?

My tummy is getting better, btw.

Yay!

On the job front, that job opportunity seems to have fizzled. She called twice (both times after 5 pm, oddly) and I called her back twice, and there's been nothing since. I guess I blew that one, but I'm okay with it.

Hope everything goes better...

Urgh! I don't get those farm/zoo/mafia things on facebook. They hold no appeal for me at all. Two of my friends (they're actually my aunt and uncle) notify everyone of everything they do on facebook.. so sometimes I'll check my wall and there will be twenty things on my wall and all of them are Tony or Barb doing something with their farm or their fish tank or something.. it annoys the crap out of me!!

That book sounds interesting. I'll have to see if I can find it over here.. I'm almost finished the book I'm reading now and will be looking for something new tomorrow I reckon.

I felt the same way until I tried one finally, and then I got sucked in. So don't try it, you might like it -- too much!

Heh. I'm afraid I'm one of those people who scurry away from all those things on Facebook. I think I have something along the lines of 200 requests I need to catch up on. And so I always feel bad about not keeping up with things.

Oooh. I've read that book! Someone on livejournal recommended it to me--said I reminded her of Ruth. It's not the kind of thing I normally read, but I did enjoy it. The writing is very, very good. And I think that version of heaven is more along the lines of what I believe, than the traditional version. And, as an extra added bonus, the best bit involves dogs! XD

I'm glad you're feeling better.

Pish on the job not working out. There's something somewhere, though.

Well it doesn't sound like you're having too much of a boring time while not working. lol! I've been wondering whether or not to read that book. Is it strong on a glorifying death theme? Or is there one?

I didn't detect a theme glorifying death. I finished it this weekend and would recommend it for the most part. The only thing that you may not like is the book's view of heaven, but it's not anti-God or anything. It is implied that God exists, at least.

I really need to rent that movie -- thanks for reminding me. It will be very interesting to see how they portray 'heaven' in particular. I'm glad to read that they chose well for the role of Susie -- I'm excited to see this. Thanks again for your understanding on the unfriending business. I'm still scratching my head over that!
