The ceiling was playful with the shadows tonight, Lincoln mused feeling the bed dip, shake beneath the weight of the other man settling in beside him. Michael had opted to share a room with Bagwell, which had pissed off the older man until he'd seen them in a stage of undress that wouldn't soon leave his mind. He felt a warmed, calloused hand brush over his abdomen, upwards to his pectoral and he allowed himself to be wrapped into an embrace.

"Go to sleep, Lincoln." He heard murmured gruffly into his ear, as he felt himself relaxing. "He'll be fine. Michael can take care of himself, he seems to have the pervert under his heel, So stop worrying." Abruzzi's voice - John, he corrected himself, John's voice was a low rumble in the older man's chest. A soothing purr full of accent, that tingled his muscles and made him feel safe. It was an odd arrangement they had with each other, the holding. The occasional sex, which was rare and John was always on top.

"I can't. You know I can't...Bagwell's an animal, always will be. Michael's just...he's playing with fire. I don't want him to get his hopes up in thinking he can change that ass hole." grumbled Lincoln, feeling a soothing pet to his side, gentle kisses along his neck down to his shoulders. He felt John bury his face into his neck, squeeze him a bit tight. No more, spoke the movements. He stared at the wall now, having shifted to his side when Jon had crawled into bed with him, so now he was content to stare at the black shadows and shapes on his wall, the dusty coloured paint enhancing their bleakness.

"Just go to sleep, Lincoln. Either T-Bag will get bored with Michael and leave, or Michael will understand what he is doing is folly. The only thing you can do is silently stand there and be the protector. And you can sleep." Lincoln heard murmured in his ear. It was the same conversation, almost every night when he heard Michael's and Theodore's door shut. It was comforting, to know at least something could see his pain, even in this darkness.
