When a congressman sponsors a bill, it does not mean that he is the one that wrote it. When a bill comes before congress it is given to a committee to analyze and yet more specifically, a congressman to sponsor. The committee has no say in which bills are sent to them, it is simply at the disgression of the majority leader (at least thats I think who redirects them) In anycase, I agree with what you are saying...so I'm not trying to be picky. If you are arguing this to someone else, you will have a stronger arguement if you know what your talking about. I'm going to run out today and pierce my thingy, just to say that I can! Fuck the man!

Yeah, I understand, in this case however I have read that he was the one who wrote it. Of course the media could be wrong, they have been before. My point was more the fact that a congressman would not research a bill or anything he is in favor of or "sponsoring." Thanks for the heads up. :)
