One....Scotch tape? Dude....I'm on it! I really want to hold the phone down there so badly.

Two...where'd you find a $10 case?

Well scotch tape is a guess on my part, but basically you need a non-conductive barrier between you and the phone. In the consumer reports video they used duct tape which seems like ridiculous overkill to me.

Oh and here's the case:

$13 actually. It does the trick and I was planning to have a case anyhow since I'm a clutz :)

Does that actually cover the screen when it's not in use? Looking at it it doesn't look like it, but a cover that doesn't cover the fragile part seems...silly to me.

I need something to protect my iPod screen from my keys.

Having seen a case on Daniel's iphone, I have to say, protecting the screen isn't precisely the point. It does wrap around enough to provide spacing between the screen and the table top if you set the phone down on its face.

If it prevents you from touching the screen, it eliminates the human interface - touch. The cases are rather to protect the rest of the body, and be kind of a riding-helmet -- cheap to replace if they crack or scratch, a little extra padding if the phone gets dropped.
