When I lived at home, this line was usually uttered by my brother when there wasn't any hot dogs in the fridge, and he couldn't make a peanut butter sandwich. The line was also uttered by me when there wasn't anything that could be made quickly and easily in the microwave or stove top. I feel for you. What's great about American students is that they do what you just described...but they then also complain that, unlike their other teachers, you didn't write all of it down FOR them and run them copies. Since you didn't do that, they assumed they didn't need to learn it. >_<

This entry is old, I see. I've been away for a bit. Are you still in wonton-land? Or have you come back? I couldn't remember what month you said you'd be finished.

I'm still in China, just about a month left here. I still don't know my departure date, which is getting more and more frustrating all the time. I have a week and a half of classes left, and then two random guest lectures. I don't know why. It's their torment. They let me choose my topics. I picked Asimov and the Boy Scouts.

I'm glad to see somebody comment here. Maybe I'll force myself to another post, I've got one or two knocking around in my head.
