Hey just spotted a reference you made to 'tube disasters' by Flux of Pink Indians. That was such an influence on me when I was a teenager. I remember playing that track really loud on Camden tube back in 1985- thinking we were dead 'ard.
Ahhh Flux Tube disasters is still one my fave tracks. In fact the album 'Strive to Survive' is brilliant. I still listen to it. Flux were really good players. One track (I forget the name) has a guitar solo in it!! Strange how they went onto forming One little indian and signing Bjork (Who was in an Icelandic punk band called K.U.K.L who Crass signed) The whole anarcho scene played a huge part of my life and still does! I've just been asked by the author of 'Burning Britain' and 'The day the country died' to do a bit on Axegrinder. Our album has been re-released this year(Worldwide OMFG) so I've spent the last 2 years thrashing out deals with our old label as well as re-mastering and getting the layout together for the CD. Certainly glad thats over.
"Transposing from guitar to the Keyboard. And having to learn bass parts :) I never had to learn those :) "
Going in the other direction is fun too - at least there's a good chance you're only trying to find a single note on a single string. Unless some smart alec writes a song using part detunes and harmonics... *cough*
