Really enjoyed the new commentary on Watchmen. Funny how one of the best scenes in the movie is so good because of the music, even though the music was composed in the 80's for Koyaanisaqatsi. My first thought was that this makes the scene feel stolen in a sense, but my love of Koyaanisqatsi enhances the scene because its overall theme of a world out of balance fits perfectly with Dr. Manhattan.

I didn't realize the music from that sequence came out of Koyaanisqatsi. I've never seen the film, though it's one of Hayley's favorites. But borrowing from other sources is one of the things Watchmen does quite well, so a bit of musical borrowing seems appropriate.

I can't quite believe you picked Through One Administration... it was well-written, but I prefer Wives & Daughters and The Shuttle just so much more.

Wives and Daughters really suffered from me taking a two-week break in the middle of it. Whereas I was forced to read half of Through One Administration in one sitting! I'd've picked The Shuttle except I'm not 100% sure I can be validly said to have read it.
