Unless the rule about no writing pieces changes, I can't participate.
Can I ask a question? Wouldn't it be better for a contest to accept all forms of artistic expression, so that more entries are received? What's the point in limiting to what people can do?
I was thinking the same thing! I was going to enter a fanfic piece before I read that it didn't accept any mediums aside from traditional and digital. D8
I personally don't agree with that and I think it's kinda lame that other mediums aren't accepted. :/
I sort of had to refrain from going into a short, snappish rant with my earlier comment. :B The gist of it, and it could be calling the kettle black in regards to the traditional-digital debate fiasco.
Unless I've been lied to all my life, I'm certain that writing is a traditional means of creativity. I still use my brain to create the idea and it's not all that different, save that I just use letter keys to "write" it, and not a pen or pencil. Perhaps tablet users should trade in their plastic pens for calligraphy brushes. :P
I'll have to venture into writing something for RE. Been a fan for a while, yet never devoted myself to making a story for it.
Yup. Totally agree with you. I've written a few one-shots for the RE fandom and I have a multi-chapter story in progress. It takes just as much effort to write a story as to draw and color a picture, especially if you are a perfectionist like myself.
