Finnan pens Reds deal

Liverpool defender Steve Finnan has signed a new two-year deal.

The Republic of Ireland international agreed terms last month and has now put pen-to-paper on the contract.

Rafa Benitez has brought in a host of new faces this summer but former Reds full-back Phil Neal believes tying Finnan to the club is a terrific move.

thank god for this. yeah he's the quiet type you don't even know he exists till you realize you had himm all games and never made a mistake

yeah... and last season he just played so good in the defence as well as the midfielding if i may say
