Good luck to you! My only advice is that Japan is an expensive country, but that shouldn't discourage you. I found my students very generous, or perhaps very interested in monopolizing my time as a teacher. In any case, they paid for many meals and loved to travel with me as guides. Makes life easier! Enjoy the experience: there is nothing like it (even in bad times)!
