I had the same disbelief you had, at first, when supporters of Clinton threatened to throw their support to McCain. At the convention last night, however, they seemed to have reconciled with the fact that not only had Obama won the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton herself urged them to support Obama wholeheartedly. And Obama didn't seem to disappoint them, either!

On a less relevant note, I have seen Canadian voters make the similar threats when they felt the party didn't treat their candidate well. It is petty, I agree, and still it happens!
