Heidi (the elderly Maine Coon mix tortie) has a long-standing habit of complaining about the food bowl as soon as she can see the bottom, regardless of the amount of food still in it.

Kimba (in userpic) seems to have learned it from her over the past few months.

I can definitely see that Kimba is a littermate of Feldspar from the userpic. :)

Feldspar, all on her own, took to howling when she colud see the bottom. Since i reduced the amount of food i give her to 0.5C in the AM and 0.5C in the PM, she has stopped that.

Is "0.5C" an amount of food or the speed Feldspar comes running for it?

Heh. Amount of food. :) She only runs for it if the bowl has been completely empty for some hours.
