Vijayaloka benefit concert 2008

It's been months of rehearsals and several dummy spits by myself and others to bring a  concert of 'uplifting' music to an appreciative audience. Now that it is over I am deeply relieved to get my Sunday's back.

I'm sorry I missed that! Still getting over the jetlag, though, so "Armageddon Factor" was about all I could cope with last night.

Religious music of all stripes does tend to be a bit floaty. We shall have to do some more drumming. Come over for cake and while you're at it you can grade my comix for Ebay. :)

In Chicago I made a feeble but sincere attempt on the Sanksrit of the Heart Sutra, and suddenly realised what "No ill-being, no cause of ill-being, no end of ill-being, and no path" means. Holy crap!

Yes, I was going to invite you guys but I thought of your jetlag and how off-putting snoring could be during our 'spirituals'... ;-)

I hadn't realised that those were the Four Noble Truths. So of course Buddhism itself is the raft and not the shore.
