So we finally got some info on the Playstation 3. Same old same old as far as I'm concerned, and they refused to answer the biggest question of all, the price. Rumors from one (uncomfirmed) site says the yen amount equals around $500, which sounds about right

I still hold that even $199 is too expensive for a medicore media player with maybe one or two good games.

I got my DS when it was a weird touch-screen gadget with maybe one or two good games. I got it the moment I thought I had reason to be optimistic for its future. Same concept, but the PSP came much later.

I didn't want the DS at that stage, either.

I'm nothing if not consistent. Except I'll never give Sony another dollar unless I'm getting a dirt-cheap used PS2 to replace the one that, you know, doesn't work anymore.
