I was expecting a good time and not much more. As a work friend said when I told him of my plans, "What's the point? Girls can't play the guitar, they can't play the drums ( Read more... )

I thought Heart was the Led Zeppelin tribute girl-band. (Oh, snap!) :)

That's pretty good Sarah. Heart was the female heavy band influenced by Zed Zeppelin, but they played original tunes. Lez Zep plays all Zeppelin covers.

The band is out of New York and they play all over, so you probably have heard of them.

Sounds like a good time. I love Led Zeppelin. Coincidentally I watched an interview with the remaining members of Led Zeppelin on TV last night. They also showed clips from concerts when they were young and lean and doing their thing. I never got to see them live as far as I can recall. But I might have. It has happened before that somebody has revived some memory I had stored in some dark and inaccessible place...

I never got to see Led Zeppelin live. My friend Tony and I were holding tickets for an upcoming concert when drummer John Bonham died. Of course that tour was canceled and the band was soon no more. Tony had forgotten that when I mentioned it the other night.

I've done a pretty good job of hanging on to ticket stubs over the years so I can keep up with the shows I've seen, but it's amazing to me that I can't remember the circumstances surrounding some of them or sometimes even who I went with.
