Doctor update

I took Owen to the doctor, and based on what Steve's symptoms were, he thinks Owen might have the flu! I asked Steve if he thought he had the flu, and he said that he had flu-like symptoms, but because he's on allergy meds, it doesn't blow up into the full thing. The pediatrician wrote a prescription for Tamiflu, but I'm hesitant to have it

I would fill the prescription and just keep wathcing him if you really don't think its the flu. That way you have it on hand if he starts to take a turn.

What else is he on?

He's not on anything else. I gave him Tylenol for his fever, but that's it.

Aw, poor baby! I agree with the pp to fill the prescritpion so you have it handy, but wait to give it to him until you think he needs it. I hope it turns out to be just a cold.

Aww - poor guy - I hope it's not the flu! I agree w/ previous comments - fill the script just in case to have it on hand. Hope he feels better (and that you stay healthy!)

I look at it this way. If Owen has the flu and you don't treat it you put him in danger. If Owen doesn't have the flu but the medication won't hurt him then it might be better to give him the Tamiflu. This is just a gut decision you're going to have to make on how Owen's feeling and if his symptoms progress and how fast.
