Good read, and a topic I'm struggling with.

I was reading Shane Claiborne's book, "Irresistible Revolution" the other day and he talked about Jesus' "triumphal entry". I had never stopped to think about that moment. Jesus was welcomed as a king, but Jesus was trying to teach them something as well. His riding in on a young donkey wasn't intended to be a joke, or look cute. But to let the Jews and later the world know that, yes in fact he was and is a king, but that he isn't here to bring war, or to overthrow governments. He is the Prince of Peace.

When a weeks time elapsed, and the Jews realized Jesus wasn't the guy who was going to overthrow the Roman empire, their selfishness was betrayed and we know the rest of the story.

Jesus: donkey vs. Roman; war horse.
