The Doctor is indeed rude, but considering how stupid some of the people he was surrounded with were he did quite well at curbing it a bit; the checking in with Rose was funny. The "HA WEREWOLF!" hug was just.. a hoot. Good to see they still get amused at the weirdness that gets thrown their way. Or rather the weirdness they throw themselves into. Almost getting eaten is so fun! They're like silly children who try to get into trouble as much as possible, because trouble is exciting, and gives them more excuses to run while holding hands and also many opportunities for hugging.
The Doctor licks walls now. Nice. And goes all swoony over werewolves. And loves the 70s. That's a lot to take in.
CGI doesn't suck! Nice design, better than the Slitheen x 100.
If people keep saying Rose is half-naked can she actually be that next time? Everyone feels cheated and/or confused otherwise, surely. Jorden was the latter - "She's not naked, why do they keep saying that?" 'Cause they think Victorian prudery is hilarious would have been the accurate answer but... Jorden is 6 and that would lead to a long conversation, and with no breaks to have it in, I passed.
They almost had another "Look at how hot Rose is in 100 year old clothing!" moment and then didn't follow through. Bastards! Teases, all of them. Oh, look, Rose getting distracted by another maid type from the past; the last one will be in Torchwood, you know, what does this one get? I thought she'd be killed right off when Rose assured her she'd be safe, but no, they got locked in -- with the entire staff -- in the basement of shoddy cages and bondage instead.
How did Rose figure werewolf = alien? Does everything equal ET now? What's wrong with native Earth weirdness?

The "Here, be a peer, and now kindly fuck off" speech from the Queen was a bit much. She thinks the Doctor is evil or something? Otherworldly and therefore magical? The overuse of God and witchcraft refs are starting to grate. Bigtime. Anvils falling! Ouch.
All the annoying features make the ep in its entirety less fun for me, but that's probably because I was looking forward to it so much. Flaws make me sad.
