I don't have live TV and don't plan to get it, but I *do* have a live internet connection and a fond relationship with the BBC iPlayer.  I tend to download "must-see" programmes overnight and then watch the next day.  Currently on our "must-see" list are:

Gardeners' World
Doctor Who
The Edible Garden

This is probably a daft idea, but.... had you considered writing a gardening book? Given that the demand for them appears to be inexhaustible?

I'm not *nearly* good enough to tell anyone else about gardening! What I probably could do is write a series of tragically funny anecdotes about mice eating my pea shoots etc...

I started watching The Edible Garden with my mother, and it is the only thing I watch on telly! I love it and find that it helps me to stay focussed.

Perhaps we can have a book swap of gardening books when we finally meet?

Oooh! Yes, that sounds fab :-) I'm trying to figure out where the other half of my collection have gone. Alys' "Thrifty Gardener" is in a box somewhere. Like many other things...

I might just use my Henry Doubleday Organic Encyclopaedia to flatten that damned mouse in the greenhouse...

Oh my that's a delicious laugh-out-loud moment. Thanks for that one.

Love the idea of the amusing anecdotes about you, mice and the pea shoots.
