That is a huge tent - wouldn't it be easier just to move Tim into it until the roof is dealt with?

I detest modern little tents that you can't stand up in. And fitting in two four poster beds, a table and chairs, clothes chests and so forth meant that I needed something substantial :-) We didn't regret buying it - I only regret not having the time to use it properly! If we get back to re-enacting again, we'll buy something similar... So nice to stand up and walk around without worrying about touching the roof!

What's the height? If the picture shows the long side then I'd guess that the door is around 6ft high and the centre possibly 9ft?

I never took height measurements. Suffice it to say that the ridgepole, when in place, is taller than anyone I know can reach whilst standing on a big box...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/87679464@N00/28484173/in/set-819449/ shows Liam UTMP (who is 6'4"ish at least, I would have thought) being attacked by a fluffy animal outside the tent. So I'd guess door was just under 6ft. From memory, I would say that the ridge height is significantly taller than 9ft, though.

Is it important?

I am very interested but need to speak to Katie about it. Also, we currently are busy buying a house so wouldn't be able to buy it immediately anyway, but if you get no further offers... How small does it pack up, what are the component parts once it has been taken down (as transport will be an issue too) One of us rreally needs to learn to drive soon :s

I don't think it would have been a realistic purchase for anyone who didn't drive, anyway. It packed down *big* - you'd need something like a Galaxy or a Sharan to transport it (which is what we did.).

Have fun with the house, though!
