Now I rub up against some mad hippies in my interests. And some sane people who talk about how experts don't always know best. Taken to its fullest conclusion does not make for a steady stable society so I generally prefer to believe that those experts who don't know what they're talking about are few and far between. And then I read things like

You're right in that there's nothing wrong with it, though I would say that there are PLENTY of religions that would argue- violently so!- that sexual preferences are indeed part of who a person IS, and if you deviate from what THEY consider to be "The Norm" then you are a sick, evil, and unsaveable person...
People are still stoned to death in the Middle East for being Gay, and don't get me started on the more "Subtle" forms of discrimination practiced over here... (Barf!)

And GIVEN that they have found a portion of the genetic structure that gives rise to homosexuality... how they can PUBLISH cr*p like this, boggles the rational mind. What- you're gonna change a persons GENES to "Make them straight"?! WTF? Sorry- any doctor that even hints that they can do this, around me? Is going to be outed as a full-fledged QUACK.
