went to the Austin Museum of Art with Michael. They are having an exhibition of Christo and Jeanne-Claude's work. It was a show of several of the gigantic sketches/collages/drawings that Christo does for their installation works, along with the swatches of fabric and a few of Christo's earlier wrapping work. Of course, this means I'll probably put it off all weekend. Papers suck
I hate this paper I'm writing for Czech culture that compares Czech and French cubists, particularly Picasso and Kubista (nevermind my annoyance that I'm doing Picasso just because he's well-known despite the fact that he's techincally Spanish, but whatever, he lived in Paris. Ugh, I've been sitting at home for close to three hours because my Czech culture class got rescheduled...for tonight at 5:30. WHY DO I HAVE TO GO BACK TO SCHOOOOOOL?!!?!?!?! HATRED. Ugh, I clearly hate myself
I just spent the last 1.5 hours reading the first two chapters of a Cedric/Viktor fic. It was unbeta'd and written by someone who I'm guessing doesn't speak English natively or else is just pretty young (her journal is all in pink with multicolored text...) but it was surprisingly well done ( Read more... )
