Didn't get to wish everyone a Merry Christmas before I went over to my parents' for dinner, but I hope everyone's having a brilliant holiday!

New Years' resolutions are just one of those things people make only to make a right bollocks of it a month later. You're better off without one, mate.

Well, yeah, a lot of people do screw it up, but there are a few in the world with actual willpower.

My problem with resolutions is that they require too much long-term commitment. I could handle month-long resolutions, but yearly or open-ended? Too much.

That's true, but really, I think it depends on what sort of resolution you're going for. If you try to make something that only works on a monthly basis into yearly or open-ended, you're sort of setting yourself up for failure.
