Physical characteristics: Standing fairly tall at 6'2", Stewart has grown into the characteristics that had once made him seem more awkward as a teenager, now suiting him more as an adult with dark curly hair, the length always fluctuating, dark eyes and facial hair, which he seems to prefer over being clean shaven. His skin isn't too pale, but it's all that tan either, falling somewhere in the middle of that. The tone of his body, lean as it is, suggests that he takes great care of it (what with being a vegetarian and running every morning), and though he's not conceited about it, he's well aware of the fact that some people find him attractive - quite a bit of girls, making him wonder where they were during his fifth year crisis.
Distant History:
Parents: Tiffany and Donald Ackerley
Siblings: Jessie Ackerley
On May 19, 1983, Stewart Ackerley was born into a family mixed on both sides, and because of this, he - and his sister born four years later (not to mention, cousins) - grew into a family where they learned about what it was like to live in both the Muggle and magical communities. During his childhood, his parents raised him to believe that being truthful was always the best way to go about things. They even went as far as explaining a bit to their children about what they knew of Harry Potter and Voldemort. In 1994, Stewart was sorted into the Ravenclaw house, which suited him just fine in his opinion. He wasn't the smartest, but he did like to do his work when it was necessary, and learning new things fascinated him greatly. However, the most important thing to him was to make friends while at school, which he found he was always able to do easily. Fourth year, however, was the year just before the war ended, and during this, he kept more to himself, however, he was back to his old ways when Hogwarts reopened for his fifth year. He was chosen as a prefect, not because he was best marks-wise in his class (he was third, there) but because he was also someone who got along well with people, just because he was "just enough." It was also what kept him that position in his sixth year and awarded him Head Boy in his seventh alongside his much more hard-working counterpart. However, fifth year was a very interesting time for Stew as he began to notice that he didn't have much an interest in girls. Not just certain types, however. In general. Which made him seem a bit weird when it looked to be the centre of everyone's lives at the time. In return, girls didn't seem to have that much an interest in him either, and he was content to blame it on that, until about halfway through the year when he developed a tiny crush on and older year in his house. An older boy, at that. Upon returning home that summer, he told his parents, following what he was told about telling the truth, and with their support, he was ready to Hogwarts for his sixth year. His crush had faded with the summer and the other crushes that had replaced it during the two months, but the revelation still remained and Stew decided to see how deeply he could explore his sexuality within the confines of the school. He'd never told anyone but his parents about it because he'd never felt the need. However, he's never had trouble answering the question.
Recent History: Stewart was only a fourth year during the year before the war ended, and he still attended Hogwarts during that time, as hie parents didn't want to send him elsewhere or stint his education. He kept to himself for the most part, and was all too relieved to find that the war was over and that he'd be returning to Hogwarts under McGongall's reign once more in September.
Having only recently left Hogwarts, Stewart's parents decided to show how proud they were of him, and though he's not living in the better flats, he's still appreciative of the fact that they're paying his rent as of the next few months, more than enough time for him to get a job and save up. In his effort to prove that his parents were right to put this trust in him, he's recently acquired a job in the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry. More on that below.
Current employment status: Stew works in the Misuse of Muggle Artefacts Office in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement of the Ministry. He started working there only about a few months ago, and he spends most of his time daydreaming behind his desk, owling friends, sending notes to co-workers, and he sets about an hour or so a day to actually fill out paperwork. He likes his job fine, especially since he manages to get enough work done for the day that he keeps his superior happy with him. All his income goes straight to his Gringotts account, though he keeps a bit of pocket money, since he doesn't have to pay rent as of yet with his parents covering the costs.
Personality: Stew is "just enough." He's confident without being conceited, reserved without being private, outgoing without being boisterous, talkative without it being too much (though he loves telling a tale and can go on for a while), sexual without being obsessed, and quick to defend others. He's a good listener, too, and he's smart without being arrogant about that fact. On paper, he's a bit on the perfect side. He has a thing about telling the truth, however, and that's to always do it, and at times there can be a disconnect between his mouth and his brain, in which his lips move before his brain can process the amount of ways in which whatever he's saying can possibly go wrong. He's also easily annoyed by anyone looking to find him behaving in the stereotypical manner his sexuality gets. He's still easily bored, though, and he doesn't always finish things he starts. He's also quick to anger when not given the same respect he gives others.
His "just enough" personality gives Stewart the initial potential to get along with any and everyone, but it's quite easy to end up on his bad side in just a few words. He has no tolerance for people who are rude, or for people who act like complete arses without reason, or who stereotype him. At times, he doesn't even had to be the subject of the ridicule, or friends with the victim of it, to step forward. And he doesn't back down easily. He also has a huge issue with people who'd attempt to tell him how to live his life, or what he should do next.
As a flatmate, he checks out in most areas. His parents are currently paying the rent, so it's in on time. He doesn't hog the bath, he cleans up after himself, he stays away from your things, and your food. He stays out of your business, unless it affects him in any way, shape, of form. And he's a good enough cook to keep himself fed, though his diet consists mostly of eating vegetables. What just might annoy his flatmates, however, is that he sometimes comes in at late hours, especially on the weekend, and he's not all that quiet as he does it.
