Do you want to know something? I was randomly thinking about "Dirty Dancing" all morning today (except I had the song "She's Like the Wind" stuck in my head). I saw it at camp the summer of '88--the year after it came out. And I just need to hear a song from it, or see five seconds of it on TV, to be transported back to the late '80s and those magical summers. My group even performed "Do You Love Me?" wearing pedal pushers and button-down shirts at the big camp show. I can still remember every word and dance step. Just an awesome movie all around. Are you a child of the '80s, too?

Yes! I grew up during the 80s! I started Kindergarten in 1981. How old are we, dear twista sista? :-) We seriously need to do a meme on RobandKris.

yeah--now if you were in the woods without shoes, then you were part of it!

Here, we had shoes. :) But there was some eating with hands (it's ok, we had ribs).

Awesome!! I love ribs and BBQ!

Actually, my parents came in and brought their RV down to this park at Benbrook Lake. (They love to do the camper thing!) We cooked out, roasted marshmallows, went fishing, and the kids rode their bikes. Then we spent the night with them in the camper. It was actually lots of fun. I enjoyed it more than I'd ever imagined I would!! We're going to try to find somewhere up around Eagle Mountain for next time.

Gotta love gettin' back to nature. Yee haw!

I had not had ribs in soooooo long. IT was sooooooooo good. oh it just slid right off the bone.

Have you been to Red, Hot, and Blue--love that place. Talk about good BBQ.

Isn't it great to spend time with those you love on new adventures? I'm so glad you had a great time!
