Uk.media.radio.archers think Helen will ask Ian or he will offer to provide sperm. Then if she gets fed up Ian and Adam will adopt it or maybe she will say she wants to have it with no father interfering, as she has more or less said, and there will be a struggle story line.

Brothers and Sisters, the US tv soap which I am addicted to as well, also has a gay brother who is in a civil partnership with a chef who is very nice and helpful to the rest of the family, as Ian is. The gay brother and one other brother both provided sperm for a third brother who wasn't able to so his wife could have a baby. The gay brother and his partner are now trying to have a baby using a surrogate mum and their own sperm.

I think TA and B & S must use the same storyline computer.
