Plus sizes and podcasts

The sidebar on my livejournal Friends Feed includes blog posts from sites that pay to advertise there. So far, the only blog that has ever shown up is Oh No They Didn't!, a gossip site. Once in a while I see something click-worthy.For instance, this morning's blog post was Where Are All The Plus-Size Male Models? It seems you have to travel all the way to Germany to find a modeling agency that specializes in the full-figured look. Me, I don't think this is an untapped market by any means. I've bought clothing for a plus-sized man all my married life, and I know exactly where the male models are. No need to go to Germany. Unless these guys are German, come to think of it, which I would have no way of knowing.

Last night I was a guest on teddyradiator's new podcast. We spoke via Skype, which worked out really well. Teddy and her Hubs and I hung out and talked about anything that suited us, though we tended to circle back to the topics of banned books and the vagaries of being a beta. I told the story of how I came to cyberstalk Teddy back in the early days. It was hilarious. In a few days the episode should be posted. Hope you check it out.

I signed up for the interhouse-fest in early September. As happens in all promptfests, I am going through the five stages of grief. Right now I think I'm in Bargaining: "It's a decent prompt, but if only I could go back in time and choose another, I would be so much farther along by now" and so forth. I write as much as possible through the stages, so when I finally cycle around to Acceptance, I hope I'll be ready with something respectable to show the alpha team.
