I resolve to finish this blog post
Wha-heyyy, it worked! I managed to coax Dreamwidth to import all my blog entries and comments to its platform. Thanks to vaysh's instructions, it was painless.
Last year, my new year's resolution was to increase my German vocabulary. I took two years of German in high school, and two years in college, but so much of it has left my head after all these years. I wanted to brush up on the language. I downloaded the Duolingo app and the Linguee dictionary app, and methodically went through the lessons all last year during commute time. I filled one spiral notebook with grammar lessons and have started a second notebook. I also started a Tumblr dedicated to vocabulary building, links, and funny things. I was surprised how much came back to me with practice. It took months, but I'm almost finished with Duolingo's lesson plan! This year's resolution is to keep it up and to add podcasts and radio stations to the mix, so I can start to understand German as she is spoke. And then the year after this, maybe I'll find actual people to practice conversing with...
